Football (2017-18) - Week 1

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the 2017-18 football season.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Harvey, and we hope that this weekend is a bright spot in what has been a very long week.  As always, our favorite bets are for entertainment purposes only.  We'll lead off with our two-time defending champion Joey...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-0/Overall 0-0)

Michigan (-5) vs. Florida
Troy (+10) @ Boise State
Bowling Green (+17) @ Michigan State

The best time of the year has returned.  It's still 105 outside, but 68 and enjoyable in the casino, which is why it took awhile, but I finally narrowed down my picks to three.  New Mexico State, my alma mater, played Thursday, so I'll skip that one this week.  Come by the Palace Station Race and Sportsbook and see me, and may all your tickets cash.

My friend Joey returns as our defending champion, and my brother Pete comes back fresh after predicting the exact score of last season's Super Bowl...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-0/Overall 0-0)

Illinois (-6.5) vs. Ball State
Nebraska (-14.5) vs. Arkansas State
West Virginia (+4) vs. Virginia Tech

I've had an interesting start to my betting season, highlighted by looking like a genius on the Ohio State, Oklahoma State, and Colorado games, while being completely baffled on the Arizona State and Washington openers.  These are my three favorite bets for the weekend...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-0/Overall 0-0)

Kent State/Clemson (Over 51.5) - The Tigers are a 40-point favorite in this one, and may not need help hitting the total...
Florida State/Alabama (Over 50.5) - I think the stellar athletes for these top-flight programs make a lot of scoring plays tonight...
LSU (-14.5) vs. BYU - Cougars struggled in Provo against Portland State, and now they get the Tigers in New Orleans.  Good luck...

And those are our favorite bets for Week 1.  Have a great football weekend and we'll see you next week!
