Football (2017-18) - Week 18

Good morning everyone.  The football season and 2017 are winding down, but we've got the big games ahead of us.  It's gonna be hard to top New Mexico State's first bowl victory in 57 years, but we'll serve up our picks.  Congratulations Joey!  :)  Our alumnus from New Mexico State will lead things off as each of us give you our favorite seven bets for this weekend.  Four bets will be extracted from our score predictions for the college football semifinal playoff games, plus our three favorite random picks.  Without any further ado, here's Joey...

I like all favorites this week, which is against a lot of what I know about sports betting.  I know you see one dog, but they are the number one rated team and should be the favorite.  Enjoy the games...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 21-28-2)

Georgia 38  Oklahoma 28
Clemson 41  Alabama 21

Georgia (-2) vs. Oklahoma
Georgia/Oklahoma (Over 60)
Clemson (+3) vs. Alabama
Clemson/Alabama (Over 47)
Wisconsin (-6) vs. Miami
Redskins (-3) @ Giants
Bills (-2.5) @ Dolphins

Come by the all new Palace Station Race and Sportsbook, and may all your parlays cash!

Joey likes the favorites and he doesn't like the teams from Miami...  Joey and Pete have several bets in common this week.  The last time that we picked exact scores in this blog, Pete nailed the exact score of the Super Bowl.  No pressure Pete...  :)

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 14-34-2)

Georgia 31  Oklahoma 28
Clemson 38  Alabama 31

Georgia (-2) vs. Oklahoma
Georgia/Oklahoma (Under 60)
Clemson (+3) vs. Alabama
Clemson/Alabama (Over 47)
Redskins (-3) @ Giants
Panthers (-3.5) @ Falcons
Seahawks (-9.5) vs. Cardinals

You'll see some differences in bets as we get to my group, despite what I want to see happen in Clemson/Alabama, Part III.  I also included a few totals, since I never do...  ;)

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 27-22-2)

Georgia 30  Oklahoma 23 - I think the Bulldogs defense will give the Sooners problems, and now Mayfield has a mystery ailment...
Alabama 26  Clemson 20 - Saban has had a month to prepare for the Tigers this time, and unlike the last two meetings, Watson won't be in the Tigers backfield...

Georgia (-2) vs. Oklahoma
Georgia/Oklahoma (Under 60)
Alabama (-3) vs. Clemson
Alabama/Clemson (Under 47)
Jets/Patriots (Under 43.5) - I'm rooting for the arctic storm to play some defense...
Redskins/Giants (Under 39.5) - I'm rooting for the arctic storm to play some defense...
Bengals/Ravens (Under 40) - I'm rooting for..., you know...  #arcticstorm

And that's all my friends.  Remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and have a great football weekend and safe New Year's celebration everyone!

Football (2017-18) - Week 17

Good morning everyone.  Our group went 4-3-2 last week as both Joey and I had the Steelers (+3) for a tie, but we still trail Pete by one in that category.  For those of you who haven't taken a close look at the schedule for this weekend, we have two NFL games on both Saturday and Monday (Christmas), but there's no Sunday night game following the daytime action.  There is a Sunday night college bowl game however, in addition to a trio of bowl games on Saturday.  As always, our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and as always, Joey will lead things off...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 21-25-2)

San Diego State (-6.5) vs. Army
Browns (+6.5) @ Bears
Bills (+11.5) @ Patriots

I actually received Joey's picks last this week, but Pete and I both share a bet in common with Joey (although they're different bets).  :)  Next up is Pete, who was our wins leader for last week (in addition to throwing strikes in the first nine frames of a league game last Monday).  At about this time last year, Pete bowled his first career 300 game.  Back to football, the tall lefty has three NFL picks for you this weekend...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 13-32-3)

Browns (+6.5) @ Bears
Cowboys (-5) vs. Seahawks
Steelers (-9) @ Texans

Like my brother, I've also got three NFL bets for you this weekend, and as always, I'll pick up the slack on betting totals...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 25-21-2)

Vikings/Packers (Under 41) - Vikings defense, no Rodgers, and potentially some nasty primetime weather at Lambeau Field...
Bills (+11.5) @ Patriots - The Bills are still alive in the playoff hunt, and will likely play inspired with Gronkowski's cheap shot still fresh in their minds...
Raiders/Eagles (Under 47) -  Eagles defense, no Wentz, and potentially some nasty primetime weather in Philly...

And that's all my friends.  Have a great football weekend and a very Merry Christmas!

Football (2017-18) - Week 16

Good morning everyone.  You're getting our picks really early compared to last week boys and girls.  :)  As it turns out, our group went 7-2 overall in what I thought was a very difficult NFL week to predict, and had the Patriots covered, we would have gone 8-1.  Pete should have known though, taking Tom Brady against the great Jay Cutler...  We'll begin with Joey, who went 3-0 last week and is storming back toward the .500 mark...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 3-0/Overall 20-24-1)

Three is the magic number this week...

Packers (+3) @ Panthers
Bills (-3) vs. Dolphins
Steelers (+3) vs. Patriots

May all of your parlays cash, and may Sunday be full of threes...

Pete is our leader in ties, and Joey is putting himself in the best possible position to gain on him this week...  :)  Pete is the only one of us who favors any of the college bowl bets this weekend...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 11-31-3)

Troy (-7) vs. North Texas
Arkansas State (-3) vs. Middle Tennessee State
Chiefs (+1) vs. Chargers

Okay, if you twist my arm, I'll pick some totals...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 3-0/Overall 24-20-1)

Chargers/Chiefs (Under 46) - Chargers D has been playing well, Chiefs O hasn't, and weather could play a factor in this night game...
Rams/Seahawks (Under 47.5) - The Eagles were stifled in Seattle recently, so I don't think the under is too much of a stretch here...
Steelers (+3) vs. Patriots - I'd feel better if Shazier was playing, but the Steelers do have Bell this time around...

And that's all my friends.  We're in the college bowl season, just nine days til Christmas, and the NFL playoffs will be upon us soon.  As always, remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and have a great football weekend!

Football (2017-18) - Week 15

Good morning everyone.   This would be your last-second, no-frills, I'm gonna rush this entry blog post.  None of us chose to pick the Army-Navy game for our favorite bets, so that pushed my publishing deadline back to this morning.  However, this would be the weekend that I've decided to make a serious return to playing poker (late-night, after work), so I just crashed after arriving home last night.  I will come back here tomorrow  and edit in our photos and updated records from last week, but for now, here you'll see our rough-draft looking bets for today's games....  :)

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 17-24-1)

Packers (-3) @ Browns
Eagles (Pick) @ Rams
Jaguars (-2.5) vs. Seahawks

Let me say right here that I believe our group was right at or a little better than .500 combined last weekend, and that I think Pete went 1-1-1.  Let me also that we have a tough slate of games today...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 10-29-3)

Texans (-1.5) vs. 49ers
Cowboys (-4) @ Giants
Patriots (-11) @ Dolphins

In my return to no-limit hold 'em last night, I won 24 bucks in two hours, since you asked.  :)  Since Joey and Pete picked ZERO totals, I've thrown in a couple...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 21-20-1)

Raiders/Chiefs (Under 48.5) - Hard-hitting divisional game (think Steelers/Bengals)...
Eagles/Rams (Over 47) - Public has bet this down from 51 - enough said.  Go points...
Ravens (+5) @ Steelers - This always seems to be a three-point game, and Steelers are without Smith-Schuster and Shazier, for starters...

As always, remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only.  Thank you for visiting our blog as often as you do.  We receive 200-300 views per week on average, and we'll surpass 15,000 total views here before the playoffs kick off.  Enjoy your games and have a great football weekend!

Football (2017-18) - Week 14

Good morning everyone.  Our group had a winning weekend over Thanksgiving and Pete got back in the win column, so it seems that everything is back to normal.  Today should be anything but normal however as conference championship games take place across the nation.  The lion's share of our favorite bets this weekend revolve around these games, and Joey will lead things off for us...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 15-23-1)

Georgia (Pick) vs. Auburn
Wisconsin (+5.5) vs. Ohio State
49ers (+3) @ Bears

Joey and Pete haven't been running very well when they agree on bets, but they're guaranteed to go .500 in today's SEC Championship Game...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 9-28-2)

Central Florida (-7) vs. Memphis
Auburn (Pick) vs. Georgia
Clemson (-10) vs. Miami

I was looking to go 3-0 last week until I barely missed the total on the Utah State/Air Force game by more than two touchdowns, but I'll take another crack at it today...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 19-19-1)

Memphis/Central Florida (Over 81) - The public has bet it down from 85, so this looks very promising...
Fresno State/Boise State (Under 51) - Not only has the public bet this up from 49, but there's a possibility of showers with temps in the low 40's for this one...
Eagles (-5.5) @ Seahawks - "No Sherman, No Chancellor, NO DICE..."  -Jeff Spicoli-

And that's all for today my friends.  As always, remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and have a great football weekend...

Football (2017-18) - Week 13

Good morning everyone.  We had a rough week here last time around, but the gang is still in good spirits.  Joey referred to his favorite bets as "Ten Star Locks" (remember, our picks are for entertainment purposes only, as always), and when I asked Pete for his three locks, he replied, "Shrimp, Lobster, and Mudslide" (he may have been at Red Lobster at the time, according to unnamed league sources)...  We'll lead off Thanksgiving Weekend with Joey...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 13-22-1)

UNLV (+3) @ Nevada - Rivalry for the Cannon...
Fresno State (+7) vs. Boise State - They play each other again next week...
Raiders (-4.5) vs. Broncos - Rivalry Week continues, plus Denver is going to another QB that hasn't played since preseason...

Our steak and seafood experts both agree on a pick this week, and Pete is due to start hitting some bets, based on past experience.  I'll go out on a limb right now and predict that my brother will reach double-digit wins before the season is over...  :D

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 8-26-2)

Ohio State (-12) @ Michigan
North Texas (-12.5) @ Rice
UNLV (+3) @ Nevada

I'll let you know right now that our bets are college-heavy this weekend, as Joey's Raiders pick is our only NFL wager.  Meanwhile, I took a favorite, a dog, and a total in the NCAA...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 17-18-1)

Michigan State (-13.5) @ Rutgers - Rutgers lost by 41 to the Hoosiers last week, so why not???
Stanford (+2.5) vs. Notre Dame - I'm surprised that Stanford isn't the favorite at home in this one...
Utah State/Air Force (Under 57) - I'm hoping for lots of ground game and some nasty weather in this one...

And that's a wrap my friends.  Enjoy the leftovers and have a great football weekend!

Football (2017-18) - Week 12

Good morning..., ummm, afternoon everyone.  :)  Just a little late today, so I'll speed right along...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 13-19-1)

Rutgers (+11.5) @ Indiana
Wyoming (+2.5) vs. Fresno State
Rams (+2.5) @ Vikings

I see here that Joey had a nice 2-1 mark last week.   And off we go...  :)

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 8-23-2)

Iowa (-6) vs. Purdue
Saints (-8) vs. Redskins
Eagles/Cowboys (Over 48)

Fastest I've ever typed up a blog entry here...  ;)

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 15-17-1)

Texas State (+27) @ Arkansas State - The Bobcats haven't tossed in the towel yet, and may very well stay within four touchdowns here...
Patriots (-7) vs. Raiders - New England travels to Mexico to face a Raiders team that hasn't looked quite right...
Cowboys (+6) vs. Eagles - Just a hunch.  Division-leading Eagles will have a bunch of rowdy Texans waiting for them down in Arlington...

And that's it.  As always, our picks are for entertainment purposes only.  Late night last night, and work tonight, so have a great football weekend everyone!

Football (2017-18) - Week 11

Good morning everyone.  Just a standard week here last time around as we went a collective 2-5-2.  I'm fairly certain we've never had that record as a group before.  Joey said that his picks are guaranteed or they're free next time, so there's that...  :)  I guess that this is a good time to remind you that our picks are for entertainment purposes only.  It's been a tough season to win so far, but we're not afraid.  Here's Joey to lead things off...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 11-18-1)

Wake Forest (+1) @ Syracuse
Notre Dame (-3) @ Miami
49ers (+2.5) vs. Giants

We're not gonna take a moment to mention here that Joey's alma mater strolled into San Marcos and beat my alma mater last week.  Not gonna mention it...  :)  Joey and Pete agree on one of their favorite bets of the week, and another highly-respected friend of mine agrees with both of them...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 8-20-2)

Michigan State (+17) @ Ohio State
Alabama (-13.5) @ Mississippi State
Notre Dame (-3) @ Miami

I was considering picking the Irish, but if I jump on the bandwagon, the bet is doomed for sure...  No problem, since there were one or two other bets to choose from...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-2-1/Overall 14-15-1)

LSU (-17) vs. Arkansas - My alma mater (Texas State) wins by twenty at Coastal Carolina, then Coastal loses by only one at Arkansas, and now the Razorbacks visit Baton Rouge.  Geaux Tigers...
Texas (-33.5) vs. Kansas - I don't normally lay so many points, but the Longhorns LOST in Lawrence last year.  They haven't forgotten...
Cowboys/Falcons (Over 48.5) - This game is indoors and the quarterbacks can throw...

And that's all folks.  Have a great football weekend everyone!

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 10

Good morning everyone.  We went 4-5 overall last week, and 6-3 if the Steelers and Lions don't decide to have a field-goal kicking contest (Pete and I both had the over).  No problem, we're back at it again this week.  I guess that we'll start things off with our New Mexico State graduate...  :)

Three picks.  Okay, I've gotta stay in college as the big games are on this week (not that I'm picking them, but...)

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 10-17)

Illinois (+14) @ Purdue
New Mexico State (-10) @ Texas State
Oklahoma (+1.5) @ Oklahoma State

Come by the all new Palace Station!

I can't believe that Joey is picking his alma mater against my alma mater...  The nerve...  :)  I'll say a little about the Bobcats later in my picks.  Right now we'll get to my brother's bets in what is a college-filled Week 10 edition of our favorites...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 7-18-2)

Maryland (-3) @ Rutgers
Notre Dame (-14.5) vs. Wake Forest
California (-7) vs. Oregon State

Yep, I hope you're catching this today (if you like following along at home), because 8 of our 9 bets are of the college variety this time around...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 14-13)

Arkansas (-23.5) vs. Coastal Carolina - My alma mater won by 20 at Coastal Carolina last week, and the Razorbacks are only 23.5-point favorites at home against the same team?  Was Coastal looking ahead?  Is Arkansas looking ahead?  Maybe, but c'mon...
Oregon/Washington (Over 52.5) - My attention kept getting drawn to this total.  It's still a Pac-12 game, right???
Raiders (-3) @ Dolphins - The Dolphins just traded away their best running back.  The Raiders are in dire straits if they can't cover here...

And that's all folks.  Remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only (no matter how big I talk), and have a great football weekend!

Saturday, October 28, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 9

Good morning everyone.  I have to apologize to y'all.  Last week we collectively went 6-2-1 on our bets.  We obviously won way too many, and we'll definitely try not to show off like that again in the future...  ;)  Pay close attention to Joey's and Pete's bets, and decide which one is your favorite, because I have a pick from each of their lists in my top three...

My NFL picks have been lacking lately, so it's all college ball for me, plus there are some good games on Saturday...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 9-15)

Marshall (-17) @ Florida International
Indiana (-5.5) @ Maryland
Penn State (+7) @ Ohio State

Come by the all new Palace Station and may all your tickets cash!

Have you decided which one of Joey's bets I'm on board with?  Okay, here are Pete's favorites...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 6-16-2)

Eagles (-12.5) vs. 49ers
Bengals (-10.5) vs. Colts
Steelers/Lions (Over 46)

And which one of Pete's bets am I'm copying???  Time's up...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 3-0/Overall 12-12)

Penn State (+7) @ Ohio State - Per ESPN, Urban Meyer is 20-0 after a bye week during his college coaching career, but I think he has a hard time covering against these Nittany Lions...
Cowboys/Redskins (Over 47.5) - This total opened at 51, and you have two solid quarterbacks, so the over looks great to me...
Steelers/Lions (Over 46) - Two more solid QB's in a controlled climate with a fast track.  Waiter, I'll have the over please...

And that's all for this week boys and girls.  Remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and have yourself a great football weekend!

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 8

Good morning everyone.  For the second time this season, I find myself watching 'We Are Marshall' as I do this post.  We finsihed just under .500 collectively last week at 4-5, and Joey led the way with a 2-1 record.  Our favorite bets are slanted heavily toward the NFL this weekend, with underdogs, favorites, and totals all represented.  As always, our bets are for entertainment purposes only, and Joey leads us off once again...

Lots of dogs have been dominating sports betting, which is perfect for me.  So once again it's three dogs, with two in the NFL.

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Weekend 2-1/Overall 7-14)

Wyoming (+14) @ Boise State
Cardinals (+3) @ Rams
Browns (+5.5) vs. Titans

Come by the all new Palace Station and may all your parlay tickets cash!

In a recurring role, Joey has three dogs, and Pete had three favorites until the Denver line moved...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 5-15-1)

Bills (-3) vs. Buccaneers
Cowboys (-6) @ 49ers
Broncos (Pick) @ Chargers

If I'm ever going to go 0-3, this should be the week.  Over the last two days, I haven't missed on anything, which includes football, basketball, and baseball wagers, so look out.  Since Joey and Pete went 0% totals, I'll go 100% totals.  Okay, I really didn't need an excuse...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 9-12)

USC/Notre Dame (Under 64.5) - This total opened at 60.5, which is good enough for me.  Throw in the rivalry, and I see a lot of scores coming in under this total...
Bengals/Steelers (Over 40.5) - It's just such a LOW total boys and girls...
Falcons/Patriots (Under 56.5) - The oddsmakers set this at 54, and the total in the Super Bowl was 56 before overtime, so there's a very real chance...

And that's all my friends.  Have a great football weekend everyone!

Saturday, October 14, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 7

Good morning everyone.  It's my birthday weekend and I begged Joey and Pete not to pick any early games so that I could sleep in, so you're getting our favorite bets a little bit later than usual this weekend.  It would be an almost perfect day if they would've moved the Texas/Oklahoma kickoff to primetime so that I wouldn't have to alter my sleep schedule any further, but sometimes life isn't fair.  You need to look no farther than our records so far this season for proof of that...  :)  We bounced back to 4-5 last week collectively, and we're always game for another week.  As always, remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only.  Due to scheduling, we were spared the possible embarrassment of selecting either Clemson or Washington State last night.  :)  It's going to continue to be a very interesting season boys and girls...

We'll lead things off with my friend Joey today, and I'm going to give him another shout out as he's always there if I need a favor (mainly in the form of rides to replenish my stockpile of food here in the mancave).  Joey also came up with a road white Roethlisberger jersey for my birthday, and I'll be sure to sport that when we're further removed from last week's five interception performance from Ben... :)  Without any further ado, here's my old (seasoned) poker dealing friend from our days at the Riviera...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 5-13)

Toledo (-7.5) @ Central Michigan
Navy (-3.5) @ Memphis
Utah (+13) @ USC

It's always interesting to note the weekly trends here.  Since Joey is going with three college teams that are on the road, naturally my brother Pete is taking three NFL teams that are playing at home.  :)  The same goes for my brother as Joey, as Pete and his family were a huge help when I returned to the desert a little more than a year ago.  Pretty big day for Pete today, as he's both a Yankees and Longhorns fan.  Speaking to that, don't feel too bad that my brother's Oklahoma (-31) pick didn't come through last week.  This was Pete's Facebook status in the aftermath of that game...  "OU lost to Iowa State at Home, LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!"  I'm at least in the general vicinity on the number of exclamation points...  And these are Pete's favorite bets for this weekend...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 4-13-1)

Texans (-9.5) vs. Browns
Ravens (-6.5) vs. Bears
Broncos (-12) vs. Giants

And now for the old man's picks.  You realize that I wear my alma mater's jersey to look at least a little younger, right?  ;)  I almost went 3-0 here last week, but the Bills and Bengals decided against scoring exactly ten points in every quarter.  Let's see if we can find a little birthday weekend magic...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Weekend 2-1/Overall 8-10)

Oregon/Stanford (Over 55.5) - The oddsmakers opened the total at 61.5, so it's worth a shot.  Hey, it worked for me in the K-State/Texas game last week...  ;)
San Diego State (-6) vs. Boise State - These are not the Broncos of yore, and the Aztecs have looked decent...
Packers (-3) @ Vikings - It just seems like the Pack has too much offense for the Minnesotans...

I know, I only picked one total this week, but I'm fine, really...  :)  Thanks for following along, and have a great football weekend!

Saturday, October 7, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 6

Good morning.  Sorry about the delay gang.  I had a little technical issue this morning, but I'm back on track now.  I didn't realize until today that we reverted back to a 1-8 week last time around.  It's a tough season to pick football so far, but we'll suck it up and try again.  We'll lead things off again with the man about to attack the big steak...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 4-11)

San Diego State (-9) @ UNLV
Raiders (-3) vs. Ravens
Texans (Pick 'Em) vs. Chiefs

I haven't given out very many NFL picks, but this week I like a couple.  My bonus pick this week is New Mexico State (+13).  NOTE:  NMSU is Joey's alma mater.  Come by Palace Station (Same Service/New Casino) and may all your parlays cash!

It seems like Joey and Pete are hanging out together this week, and they're taking a trip to Favoriteville (okay, minus the Texans)...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 3-11-1)

Oklahoma (-31) vs. Iowa State
Miami, Ohio (-16) vs. Bowling Green
Georgia State (-1) @ Coastal Carolina

Well, I completely jinxed Pac 12 overs last week, stumbling to a 1-2 mark, so I'm going to find some new totals to tinker with this week...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 6-9)

Kansas State/Texas (Over 44.5) - This total opened at 50, so it's worth a shot...
Bills/Bengals (Over 39.5) - Just ten points a quarter, c'mon guys.  The Bengals are due to score, right???
Seahawks/Rams (Under 47.5) - Seahawks should have something in store for Goff, and they struggle to score themselves...

And that's it my friends.  Remember that our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and thanks again for your patience.  Have a great football weekend...

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Football (2017-18) - Week 5

Good morning everyone.  I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not surprised that our little group has started to turn things around, and if anyone asks, we were just pacing ourselves.  After going 1-8 collectively three weeks ago, and then 3-5-1 two weeks back, we went 5-4 last week.  As always, our picks are for entertainment purposes only, and if you wanted us to entertain you in real time this weekend, I hope that you're reading this on Saturday, because we have NINE college bets for you, and ZERO NFL...  We'll start things off with our every season so far defending champion Joey...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 4-8)

Dogs rule the NFL right now.  Hopefully they will come through in college also...

Iowa (+4) @ Michigan State
Bowling Green (+2.5) vs. Akron
Middle Tennessee State (+3) @ Florida Atlantic

May all your parlays cash!

While Joey's taking the points this week, Pete's thinking they're called favorites for a reason...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 3-8-1)

Minnesota (-13) vs. Maryland
San Diego State (-10) vs. Northern Illinois
Air Force (-2.5) @ New Mexico

Who needs to take points or lay points?   "When in doubt, bet on a PAC-12 over..." -Chris Wyatt-   Wow, I think that I'm going to go with that one minute-old adage...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 5-7)

Arizona State/Stanford (Over 60) - The Cardinal should win, but the Sun Devils recently remembered the meaning of offense...
California/Oregon (Over 67) - Scoring is the only thing the Ducks do better than giving up points...
Colorado/UCLA (Over 67.5) - This high-powered offense/no-playing defense Bruins squad was made for overs...

And that's all for today.  Hopefully you're reading this on Saturday so that you can sweat our favorite bets.  Have a great football weekend!

Football (2017-18) - Week 4

Good morning everyone.  Well, I'm happy to say that we performed better last week, going 3-5-1 as a group.  The bad news is, how bad do you have to be the week before (1-8) that 3-5-1 is considered improvement?  :)  Just to be clear, we don't do this for the money (obviously), but it's for all the kids out there...  ;)  This is a good time to remind you that our bets are for entertainment purposes only.  Joey and myself are your co-leaders at the moment, but Pete had the best showing last week, and also notched our first tie of the young season.  As Joey leads things off, I'm happy to see my bad influence spreading among our group, as all of us are including bets on totals this weekend...

Lots of favorites seem to be covering in the NFL this season, in opposition to previous years.  The defenses are way ahead of the offense, so the under will be the way to go for the next couple of weeks...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 3-6)

Texas Tech (+6.5) @ Houston
Florida (-2.5) @ Kentucky
Browns/Colts (Under 42.5)

Good luck and may all your parlays cash!

Pete follows Joey with our trend for this weekend, as we've all selected a pair of college bets and an NFL pick as our favorites...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-1-1/Overall 1-7-1)

Penn State (-11) @ Iowa
UCLA/Stanford (Over 59)
Falcons/Lions (Over 50.5)

It appears that my brother and I agree on one of our bets this weekend, which means that the UCLA/Stanford final might be 10-3...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 3-6)

Notre Dame/Michigan State (Under 54) - I anticipate both defenses showing up in East Lansing for this rivalry game...
UCLA/Stanford (Over 59) - The Bruins play tons of offense and almost no defense...
Bengals (+7.5) @ Packers - Cincy will play with extra rest, desperate to avoid an 0-3 start, plus I have the hook...

And there you have it.  Maybe we end up on the right side of .500 this week...  Have a great football weekend everyone!

Football (2017-18) - Week 3

Good morning everyone.  Well, our braintrust took a bath last week, but it wasn't in money.  Joey, Pete, and myself went 1-8 collectively, but we're back again because we don't know any better.  As always, our bets are for entertainment purposes only.  We'll start things off with Joey, who claimed our only victory last week...

This season has started off with some great college games.  Today Louisville takes on Clemson in an ACC matchup.  The winner has a great chance to make the final four.  I'm headed a different route with these three.  The dogs continue to bark...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 2-4)

Tennessee (+4) @ Florida
Purdue (+7) @ Missouri
Kansas State (-3.5) @ Vanderbilt

May all your parlays cash!

I can tell you at this point that none of our nine bets are the same this week.  However, Pete also went the same route as Joey, choosing three college bets...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 0-6)

Bowling Green (+21.5) @ Northwestern
Texas Tech (-7) vs. Arizona State
Clemson/Louisville (Over 61)

I'm desperately rooting for my brother to win a couple this week, since I already have bets on two of his favorites...  :)  These are my trio of favorites for the weekend...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 2-4)

Colorado State/Alabama (Under 54.5) - The Rams scored three on rival Colorado, and this is Bama...
Cardinals (-7) @ Colts - If the Cards can't handle Indy, they're in for a very long season...
Chiefs (-5.5) vs. Eagles - K.C. gets to play at Arrowhead after an extended rest and thumping the Patriots...

And those are our (RRRRRRR) favorite bets for the weekend.  Have a great football weekend!

Football (2017-18) - Week 2

Good morning everyone.  I'm starting to get the feeling that you'll get our weekly picks just seconds before the early kickoffs every Saturday morning this fall...  :)  My partners in crime get me their picks by Friday night, and then I'm too tired after work to do the blog post, so I set my alarm for Saturday morning.  As always, our weekly bets are for entertainment purposes only.  I use the consensus current lines at the time of publication, which can either aid or hurt our forecaster's bets.  Last week Joey gave me Troy (+12) at Boise State, but they were (+10) at press time.  Of course Troy lost the game by 11, so Joey won his real-life bet, but lost his blog pick.  NOTE:  Our forecasters would always prefer to win their actual bets than their blog picks, no matter how much we love you readers...  :)  Anyway, this resulted in me taking sole possession of first place after last week.  Back for revenge, Joey is leading off again for us today...

Joey's Parlay Card (Last Week 1-2/Overall 1-2)

East Carolina (+24.5) @ West Virginia
San Diego State (+3) @ Arizona State
Jets (+8) @ Bills

Come by the all new Race & Sports Book at Palace Station and may all of your parlays cash!

Spoiler Alert:  Joey likes taking the points this week, in contrast to Pete and myself.  My brother and I also have one pick in common...

Pete's Parlay Card (Last Week 0-3/Overall 0-3)

Raiders/Titans (Over 50.5)
Texans (-5) vs. Jaguars
Falcons (-6.5) @ Bears

I still have half an hour left, which means that I'll get this posted on time.  YES!!!  ;)  Here's what I came up with for our second week, and the first of the NFL season...

Coach's Parlay Card (Last Week 2-1/Overall 2-1)

San Jose State/Texas (Over 63) - I would bet the 'over' if the number was 70.  I sure hope I'm right...
Steelers (-9.5) @ Browns - Browns are starting true rookie at QB, and they lost Haden (to the Steelers nonetheless)...
Falcons (-6.5) @ Bears - The Falcons return pretty much everyone, and they "only" have to cover one touchdown...

And now you have our favorite bets for Week 2.  Gather up your friends and snacks, and have a great football weekend!
